Patrick joined Goldcrest Post as Managing Director in January 2014.  Patrick comes to Goldcrest from Company 3, a subsidiary of Deluxe, where in its various guises he has been for 17 years. He has been running the company’s digital intermediate department since 2006. 

Born in Ashington, Northumberland in 1969, he gained a degree in film, photography & animation at University College for the Creative Arts in Farnham before starting his career in the post-production industry as a runner in 1995.

After a brief spell at Framestore CFC he joined the bookings team at Ascent Media in Wardour Street where over the course of the next few years he worked his way up to Head of Production at St. Anne’s Post. 

He took over Deluxe’ digital intermediate department in its former home at Meard Street at the end of 2006 and has overseen the development of its facilities and client base into the world class feature film post entity it is today.

In tandem with his day to day responsibilities, Malone continues to produce and direct film projects in his own right, positioning him uniquely to advise and support clients from the pre-production stage right through to delivery of a project.

Martin Poultney is a veteran of the UK film industry with over 30 years experience in distribution and post production.

Having held senior positions in technical servicing and production for The Rank Organisation, Technicolor, Ascent Media and Deluxe Martin moved into a business development role for Company 3 London as Head of Feature Film Sales, a post he held for 6 years.

During his 6 year tenure at Company 3 London he was part of a highly successful and dynamic team that saw a threefold increase in turnover of its feature film digital intermediate department.

Laurent Treherne

Laurent Treherne, one of the industry’s most respected colour science and workflow engineers, joined Goldcrest as Chief Technology Officer in February 2014.

He started his career in 1995 as Technical Manager at Mainstreet in Paris, having graduated from Valenciennes the previous year with a degree in computer graphics. He moved to London in 2001 to take on the role of R&D and Technical Manager at VTR before becoming Technical Director for the creative services division of Deluxe/Company 3 in 2005. During his time there he was heavily involved in the R&D aspect of the Digital Intermediate process, the design and maintenance of dailies and DI workflows and supervision of all matters relating to colour and image science.

Laurent carries these responsibilities alongside his considerable experience into his new role at Goldcrest.

Rob Farris joined Goldcrest as Head of Production in March 2014 following a six year tenure as senior producer at Company 3. During that time he was responsible for supervising the Digital Intermediate processes of some of the largest theatrical feature films posting in London.  With more than 50 titles under his belt, Rob’s credit list includes Skyfall, World War Z, Rush, Captain Phillips, The Iron Lady and more recently Jason Bourne, High Rise, Free Fire, My Cousin Rachel and Kingsman:The Golden Circle.

Rob has been an integral part of Goldcrest’s re-development and his considerable experience ensures unparalleled continuity and quality of service across a range of world-class picture and sound facilities via his team of talented D.I. producers.

With an MA in Film and Television from the University of Westminster Karolina started her career in Post Production as a runner at Clear Cut Pictures. Karolina moved rapidly up the ranks into a client facing role in the bookings department. Karolina joined Goldcrest in August 2014 as an ADR scheduler during a very busy period working on several large productions including Dracula Untold, Paddington and the latest series of Doctor Who.

Karolina is now Goldcrest's main in house producer for sound, managing audio projects through the facility from start to finish. Projects that Karolina has overseen include Me Before You, American Honey, A United Kingdom, Assassins Creed, Baby Driver  and currently Kingsman:The Golden Circle.

Lizzie Graduated from the University of Winchester in 2014 with a degree in Media Production and Creative Writing. Since graduating Lizzie has worked as a freelance floor runner and 2nd/3rd AD.

As a filmmaker John Quested has worked with legends such as John Ford, Carol Reed, Henry Hathaway, Anthony Mann, Stanley Donen and Lewis Gilbert. He was the associate producer of A Lion In Winter starring Katharine Hepburn and Peter O’Toole, the producer of among other titles The Return of the Soldier starring Julie Christie and Alan Bates and The Passage with Anthony Quinn and James Mason. As a Director John won the Silver Medal at Venice with Siobhan McKenna’s Here Are Ladies.  

For nearly thirty years John has lead the management team of Goldcrest and today remains focused on the production, post-production and distribution of quality filmed entertainment for global audiences.

Mike joined Goldcrest in 2010 having been introduced to the Group in his previous role at Deloitte.  Mike was appointed as a Director in 2012 and now holds a position straddling each of the major trading divisions in all of Goldcrest’s global locations as Group Finance Director.

Claire trained and qualified as a solicitor at the international law firm, King & Wood Mallesons SJ Berwin (formerly SJ Berwin), in its leading media and entertainment practice. During her seven year tenure at the firm she advised a wide range of clients on film and television production and finance and worked on secondment for The Walt Disney Company. Ben oversee's Goldcrest’s post business and Washington Street facility, including operations, sales, and business planning. He also works with Saboteur Media's Finance and Production Team on our internal slate of projects.

 

He is a post-production film and television business and creative leader with over 130 major and indie feature sound credits including: American Psycho (Mary Harron), Hedwig and the Angry Inch (John Cameron Mitchell), Sidewalks of New York (Ed Burns), Adventureland (Greg Mottola), My Idiot Brother (Jesse Peretz), and The Wire (David Simon).

 

Originally from Sydney, Australia, and a graduate of Australian Film Television & Radio School (Australia’s national film and television academy). Ben moved to New York to work at C5 Inc., and then Soundone. In 2012 he graduated from NYU’s Stern School of Business, MBA (media finance). He then contributed to the business/production side of Steven Spielberg’s Bridge of Spies.

Jay heads Goldcrest’s picture team which includes producers, editors, colorists, VFX artists and techs. He is responsible for ensuring that our client’s creative vision is finished with the highest quality and attention to detail.

 

Jay is a veteran of the New York Post Production community, having served as a finishing editor and VFX artist for commercials, feature film and episodic TV during his career. Bob graduated in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University and worked as a Systems Engineer for Sound One Corp. for over 25 years.
