In 2000, a sister facility was launched in New York City's West Village. Goldcrest Post New York Goldcrest Post New York is home to an excellent 40-seat screening room with 2K/HD/SD and 35mm Projection, and three fully-equipped Dubbing Theatres with ADR and Foley. The entire third floor is dedicated to Sound Design with a proprietary all digital workflow. In addition, we have 23 online and offline picture editing suites, a gigabit network, picture and sound editing suites, production offices and a CGI department. In 2004, GPNY opened their brand new 2K/HD Digital Intermediate Theatre. This theatre, unique to the East Coast, provides clients with 2k Data or HD Online Editorial and Colour Correction services to 2K large screen digital cinema projection. 35mm and S-16/16mm film based projects are scanned on the Arriscan at either 3K or 6K, and use Kodak’s Digital Ice automated dustbusting technology. The cinema environment, 16ft by 9ft screen and DCI compliant projector, calibrated with Kodak’s display manager technology, provide filmmakers with accurate pre-visualization of their films in the Editorial, Visual Effects, and Colour Correction stages. GPNY is designed to facilitate the post-production processes for the independent filmmaker. Everything a film needs is all under one roof.
