Located in the West Village, Goldcrest Post opened its doors to the New York film community in 2000. Goldcrest quickly became known as a filmmaker friendly, technically innovative facility. Over the last four years Goldcrest has expanded to include a Digital Intermediate Department and Audio post-production finishing. Goldcrest has built a sterling reputation for high profile feature and television, picture and audio finishing. Goldcrest also hosts a 2K/35mm screening room, production offices, and 23 offline suites.

Goldcrest operates as a go-to creative boutique offering its filmmaker and television content creator clients every service and expertise needed to create world-class theatrical or broadcast deliverables.

PICTURE

Goldcrest provides Film Scanning with automated dust-busting on the Arriscan with Kodak's Digital ICE technology, elegant 2K Digital Intermediate/Red Finishing on two Quantel IQ systems with Pablo Color Correction sharing media with Gene Pool, and also features a Quantel 444 HD Digital Intermediate Finishing Suite. Our Digital Intermediate theatre utilizes an NEC800C DCI compliant 2K digital projector. 14 offline rooms offer Avid or Final Cut Pro as stand-alone or Unity systems. A full complement of HD and SD decks are available for ingest and creation of Feature/Broadcast deliverables.

Goldcrest specializes in finishing both data centric (35mm/S-16mm film, Red, P2, EX-1), tape based (HD Cam SR 4:4:4, DVCPro HD, HD Cam), and mixed media projects.

AUDIO

Goldcrest's comprehensive Audio services, including Sound Editorial and Design, Foley and ADR Recording, Television and Theatrical mixing, provide everything a film or television show could ever need. Goldcrest's third floor is devoted to Sound Editorial theatres; with the sound edit suites linked to machine rooms. Also on the third floor is an audio relay/QC Suite. Theatre A our largest 5.1 Mix theatre is located on the Main floor. Theatre A is powered by an ICON console, and is Dolby certified for Print Mastering. Theatre B is our primary Television 5.1 Mix Suite, and the Foley/ADR Stage serves to complement our Audio services. ISDN connectivity of the Foley ADR stage allows our clients to work with geographically remote talent.

MOB SCENE @ GOLDCREST

Mob Scene at Goldcrest is a joint venture between Mob Scene Creative, an LA-based creative advertising agency, and Goldcrest Post. Mob Scene has access to the graphics, music and copywriting resources of the award-winning creative team to use in the creation of trailers, promos and tv spot advertising for theatrical releases, and can leverage the state-of-the-art post-production facilities at Goldcrest Post to provide any needed film and video finishing. In short, Mob Scene @ Goldcrest is a full service entertainment advertising agency.
