Goldcrest is open for ADR

Thursday, 23rd July 2020

As part of our ongoing commitment to the safety of our clients and staff, we have made adjustments to our ADR workflow to ensure safe working practice in accordance with Government guidelines and industry best practice.

We have redesigned our studio lay out to ensure all those attending are over 3 metres apart during sessions. Our studios are fully cleaned, aired and sanitized before each session.

Upon arrival at Goldcrest, visitors will be asked to complete a health declaration and be directed to their studio from a safe distance by the mixer. If required, we can arrange a contactless arrival process for all visitors.

There is a limit of two visitors per production for any session (including actor). All visitors should bring their own water/refreshments.

The Session

In the studio will be: picture on screen, headphones, (the actor may bring in their own headphones if preferred) a lectern, a radio mic and a 3 boom setup (close, middle and far).

The actor will be asked to affix and adjust the radio mic themselves.

The mixer will record all four mics so the editor can choose their preferred recording later.

The mixer will initiate a Skype/Zoom/Source Connect call with everyone who needs to be involved, Director, dialogue editor, dialect coach, etc. Everyone connected will see a camera pointing at the actor and an HD copy of the picture with streamers. During the session they will hear rehearsals, clean recordings and playbacks as if they were in facility

Goldcrest is also supporting remote crowd recording via Cleanfeed, please ask for more information.
